The Zamfara State Government has earmarked the sum of thirty-eight million naira for the rehabilitation of the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in the state.
The State's Deputy Governor, Malam Ibrahim Wakkala Muhammad, disclosed this when he received the NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General Sulaiman Kazaure, in Gusau.
He in spite of the present economic challenges in the country, the state government will carry out the rehabilitation work in the camp because it recognizes the important role the NYSC plays in fostering unity and development.
"We will do everything possible to ensure the safety and comfort of Corps members posted to our state," he said.
Wakkala praised the Director-General for the achievements recorded by the Scheme so far under his watch, and went on to describe him as "patriotic, committed and up to the task."
Earlier, the Director-General, Brigadier General Sulaiman Kazaure said he was in the state to monitor the on-going Orientation course in the two camps located in Tsafe town.
He thanked the government and people of the state for their support to the Scheme, and called for sustenance of the cordial relationship.
