Governor Okowa orders quick renovation of NYSC Orientation Camp in Issele-Uku
The Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa has ordered that the National Youth Service Corps’ Orientation Camp in Issele-Uku, Aniocha North Local Government Area of the state be renovated immediately to enable Corps Members camp conveniently.
In a message conveyed by the State Commissioner for Higher Education, Engr. Jude Senebe at the 2016 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Corps members Inauguration/swearing-in ceremony, Governor Okowa said the essence of NYSC Camp Orientation Course is to prepare Corps Members for future challenges and as such they should imbibe all the lessons and training they will receive and apply them.
He urged the Corps’ Members to take camp activities serious, as it would enhance their productivity as capable adults to contribute meaningfully to the sustainable development of the country.
The governor disclosed that the camp needs renovation to allay fear of the unknown, especially the fear of reptiles and other dangerous animals, adding that the contractor had been sufficiently mobilized to complete the job on specification.
