The National Youth Service Corps(NYSC) Director-General, Brigadier General Sulaiman Kazaure, has hailed President Muhammadu Buhari for providing the support which led to the success recorded in the war against Boko Haram.
He made the remark when he addressed the 2016 Batch 'B' (Stream II) Corps members at the NYSC Temporary Orientation Camp, Potiskum, Yobe State.
Kazaure also praised the gallantry displayed by officers and men of the Nigerian Armed Forces in the course of prosecuting the war against the insurgents.
He further noted that the success recorded by the Armed Forces made it possible for the NYSC to resume the conduct of Orientation course in the state after several years of break occasioned by insecurity.
He, however, noted that the Boko Haram elements, having been dislodged from their enclave in Sambisa Forest, may be seeking soft targets elsewhere.
The Director-General, therefore, advised the Corps members to always be security conscious, and to report suspicious characters to security agencies.
Kazaure also noted the rising incidence of kidnap, and advised them to take necessary precaution, especially by avoiding ostentatious lifestyles, lone movements and attendance of night parties.
He assured them of Management's commitment to their safety and general welfare.
During a meeting with NYSC staff, Kazaure commended their courage and commitment to duty in the face of the problem of insecurity, which the state suffered over the years.
