1. Musa takes over from Yamma as Sokoto State new NYSC Coordinator:

The National Youths Service Corps(NYSC) management has posted Alhaji Musa Abubakar to take over from Mr. Thomas G. Yamma as new NYSC Coordinator of Sokoto State.

Alhaji Musa Abubakar was formerly the Bauchi state NYSC coordinator.

During his farewell speech, the out gone coordinator, Mr Yamma thanked the staff for the cooperation and support given to him during his tenure, and equally urged them to extend same to the new helmsman.

In his address, the new helmsman promised to operate participatory administration and also called on staff to support and cooperate with him as this will enable him achieve his goals of promoting the scheme.

2. A Brief Bio of Alhaji Musa Abubakar, Sokoto State NYSC Coordinator:

Alhaji Musa Abubakar was born on the 15th of December 1963 in Nguru LGA of Yobe State. He had his early education at Central Primary School and later proceeded to Government College Waka Biu in Borno State from 1978-1983. On completion of his secondary school, the young ambitious Musa went to Bayero University, Kano where he bagged a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geography in 1989.

Musa Abubakar served his fatherland during the 1990/1991 service. On completion of the compulsory National Youth Service, he had a brief stint first as a teacher with Kano state Government and afterwards as a Training officer with National Population Commission between 1990 and 1991 respectively.

Alhaji Musa joined the NYSC scheme in 1992 as Inspector II and was posted to Gombe state.He was nominated as the best inspector 2006 in Gombe state secretariat.

He was special Assistant to two former Director Generals: Brigadier General M.I. Tsiga and Brigadier General N.T. Okorie Affia.

Musa was the 23rd Chief Executive Officer of NYSC Bauchi state before he was deployed to Sokoto State as the 26th State Coordinator.

He is happily married with children.

Alhaji Musa Abubakar was formerly succeeds Mr. Thomas G. Yamma as NYSC Coordinator of Sokoto State.
